About
I'm a primary school teacher, with a Masters degree in Teaching (Primary) and have 10 years experience working with children. I am also a certified Play Therapist and am constantly expanding my knowledge in child development to provide the best support for children.
I love teaching and have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that positive relationships and supportive spaces can have on a child’s growth. I've dedicated my career to creating safe, nurturing environments where children can flourish and grow into their full potential with enthusiasm and pride.
My philosophy of education is that all children are playful, creative and unique beings that thrive when given a caring and positive classroom to facilitate learning and create a sense of community, support and connectedness.
Having worked in over 50 schools, I’ve had the privilege of learning from many wonderful teachers and observing various teaching styles. However, I’ve also noticed many educators experience overwhelming feelings of frustration, self doubt and hopelessness when dealing with difficult situations that naturally arise in the classroom. This is often because they have not been given the support or tools to know how to manage these successfully, leaving them on their own to try and navigate.
That’s why I’m committed to providing support to new teachers entering the profession. My courses are an intentional blend of teaching and therapy skills to assist educators in confidently navigating tricky scenarios or dilemmas in the learning space. Like children, teachers too, thrive when given the right kind of support and guidance.
Let’s work together to inspire the next generation!
